SPECTRUMS OF INQUIRY
SPECTRUMS of INQUIRY: OVERVIEW
The Spectrums of Inquiry are approaches to guide learners through a shift from teacher-directed problem-based projects toward student-led, place-based and culture-based conclusions and innovations.
The Spectrums of Knowledge, Perspective, Process, Reflection, Responsibility, and Audiences offer incremental steps allowing students to not only build disciplinary understanding and skills but also develop empathy, civic identity, and critical reasoning.
Each spectrum serves as a lens for designing learning experiences that deepen authenticity, providing the methods to address the concerns raised in Tangents.
