THE PRISMS OF INQUIRY: OVERVIEW

The Prisms of Inquiry are approaches that guide learners from teacher-directed projects toward student-led, place-based and culture-based innovations.

 

The Knowledge, Perspective, Process, Application, Responsibility, and Audience Prisms offer incremental steps that help students not only build disciplinary understanding and skills, but also develop empathy, civic identity, and critical reasoning.

 

Each Prism is a lens for designing learning that deepens authenticity, providing practical ways to address the concerns raised in Tangents.
