VIDEOS: YouTube Channels

HOURGLASS SCIENCEWe firmly believe that Scientific Literacy is essential to navigating today's world. HOURGLASS SCIENCE is a YouTube channel focused on improving this Scientific Literacy. At first, it was a humble project that started with Nicholas Linke reaching out to his students for two-minute mini-lectures during the pandemic with his own video series at Hourglass Science. Each episode was a one-shot timed by a physical hourglass flipped at the beginning of the episode. After a year of building content, he was inspired by friends to revise the entire YouTube channel for a broader audience. He is slowly rebuilding Hourglass Science with college students in mind. Stink FinksJoin our family adventures. Stink Finks has become a larger family of video productions that range from children's videos to more significant educational and creative production projects that overlap with other interests within Glassroom Hive. As a way to share the experiences of the children with extended family, Stink Finks has become an attempt to get those same kids involved in video making.

Nicholas LinkeI’m Nicholas Linke, an educator, a creator of inquiry-driven learning experiences, and the author of The Moirae Conversations, Tangents, and Malignant. On this channel, we explore mythology, science literacy, philosophy, and the systems shaping our world. You’ll find episodes of Tangents, behind-the-scenes world-building from The Moirae Conversations, deep dives into teaching and learning, and stories from the universe with reflections on how narrative helps us think more clearly in a chaotic age. Subscribe if you want myth, science, and philosophy explained through story. If you’re a mythpunk fan, science nerd, or 2am philosopher, welcome.
